Top London jazz musicians
The Jazz Reporters formed in 2007 from highly talented professional musicians, all of whom are active on the London music scene and most were trained at top music colleges such as the Royal Academy and the Guildhall.
Collectively and individually they have a wealth of experience, having worked in recent years with an enormous list of British and international jazz stars, including Jamie Cullum, Bonobo, Sir John Dankworth & Dame Cleo Laine, Gwyneth Herbert, Laurie Holloway, The Royal Scottish National Orchestra, The Laurence Cottle Big Band, The James Taylor Quartet, The Puppini Sisters, The National Youth Jazz Orchestra and many more.
Carefully arranged setlist
Every song in our repertoire has been meticulously arranged to make the most of every instrument in the band, whether it’s a 4 piece, an 8 piece, or anything in between. This attention to detail, together with the high standard of musicianship (and the number of years for which we have been playing together) is what gives the Jazz Reporters our full, polished sound.
Variable band size
The band is available in any size from 5 – 10 musicians to suit every venue and budget, and we have our own high quality sound and lighting equipment (read more).
Happy to travel
Although most of the members of The Jazz Reporters live in London or nearby, the band regularly travels to all corners of the country. This is a professional jazz band for hire throughout the UK or beyond.
