The Jazz Reporters as standard is a 4 piece band, consisting of one singer, keyboard, bass and drums. There are various options for expanding this if required:

SAXOPHONE - a popular addition, and a common sight in many jazz / soul ensembles. The sax fills out the sound and adds another dimension to the music.

GUITAR - a particularly desirable extra if there is to be a larger proportion of soul / Motown in the set. Adding guitar greatly expands the list of songs we are able to offer from the soul / Motown / funk / disco repertoire, but is also a worthy addition for the jazz / swing with all the extra rhythm & solos the instrument provides.

EXTRA VOCALS - having both male & female vocals in the band adds variety to the performance and enlarges the list of songs we can offer. They are also able to add backing vocals and harmonies to each other with the soul / Motown repertoire.

MORE OPTIONS - the list goes on! The above three are the most popular optional extras, but we can taylor things to suit you. For example we could add trumpet as well as (or instead of) sax, or we could even add a percussionist (great for Latin, soul / Motown etc. but not so useful for the swing).
